Help answer the question about personal improvement tips

How does one go about in publishing a book that he/she has written? What are the steps?
I've never written a book before but I'm thinking of writing one about relationships between men and women based on my personal, friends' and others' experiences. How relationships progress from start to finish (or current, if still ongoing). How they falter. Tips on improvement and how to better understand the opposite sex. This is a different take on relationships since this would be based on "normal" people's experiences, not on a psychologist's studies or findings. I'm not a psychiatrist, a psychologist nor any other kind of doctor. My credibility is that I'm 36, single, normal, educated, professional, American male, living in Los Angeles.

THAT MADE ME LAUGH SO HARD!ESPECIALYY #8 THAT ONE KILLED ME!

  4. Read into it what you like. It doesn’t explain what it’s trying to say..

It’s fun to quote when someone is bashing homosexuals, when someone refuses to eat whatever meat they deem unclean, when someone is ranting about lifestyle choices (smoking, drinking, though I’m against those myself.. self criticism is a man’s best friend).

Regardless, it shuts up a lot of people.

  5. Yes it will improve with time and trustworthy relationships but YES you can aid that process by focusing on positive, forgetting the negative from the past and if you can trust YOURSELF you should be free-er to trust another.

You need to let go of what you have NO CONTROL over too. If someone is going to lie, cheat & hurt you they are GOING TO do it regardless of what you do or how much you love or trust them, right? That's just LIFE as unfortunate as that may sound. And I always like the saying that tell us "it is better to have loved & lost then to have never have loved at all." It is SO true and the rewards of fully giving of yourself to another person FAR out weight the pain from someone who injures our emotions or egos because of their lousy character flaws that make them lie or cheat with us.

Be the better person , take the high road, always think of and expect the best in others, see the best and don't lock off your heart because of some louse from your past…. that just doesn't promote a healthy, strong, worthwhile relationship. YOU'll find someone who is well worth all the effort one day and be GLAD you remained on the better road.
Hang in there – there ARE good, positive, honest souls out there – just keep looking and expect the best!

  6. LOLz!

Xians are the most hypocritical assholes on the planet. I have nothing to say about an imaginary Jew.

You already answered your own question. I was immunized, my sisters were immunized, all of my freinds were immunized, my nieces and nephews were all immunized and my children were immunized. Not one has suffered any kind of reaction.

Is it "manipulation by the medical establishment" to suggest washing your hands after going to the bathroom? No, it is a simple remedy to help prevent the spread of disease, just like immunizations.

Ever heard of Polio? I have met and seen people who have suffered through that horrible disease because they were never immunized. Would you rather that disease makes a comeback and affects your children or grand-children?

Why do you advocate people taking chances with their children's lives and health?

  12. sara g says:

Oh man, this happened to me. It took me over a year to get over my last block. Sometimes, you need to try allot of different tricks and some might work, but more often than not, you'll just be struck to draw something magnificent one day.
Here's a few tips that helped me through some of my biggest dry spells:

Never force yourself to draw. It's torture and unnerving. Don't try to draw a masterpiece when you're not feeling it.. Ya know? And if you start drawing something you like but after halfway finishing it, it starts turning out lousy(not like you wanted) then stash the work away until you get that feeling again.

Get back to basics. That really helps~! I realized the reason I hated everything I'd been drawing lately is because I was doing it the way I thought it was supposed to look. Not the way I was inspired to draw it.. Does that make sense at all? Once I remembered the basics, I couldn't stop sketching everything. I definitely improved. I had a renewed understanding of how everything went together.
Start by doodling the basic shapes, shading, lighting, angles. Then work back up to the more complex stuff. It's not going to be anything worth keeping, probably, but it's going to help you. Promise ^^

Set aside some time for yourself. Nothing is worse than life interfering with your passions. At least ten minutes a day to just sketch randomly.

Remember what got you started to begin with. What was the first thing that Really helped you get your creative fire started? Was there a book you read about art? An original sketch that inspired you? A comic?(I'm going to take a stab at; manga?)
Maybe reviewing some of your old work, or revisiting that old inspiration can get that feeling back.

Also, another thing I've done is a 'sketch association game'. Sometimes poets use a word association game to get their muse revived. (ex: when I say a word, you say the first thing that pops into your head) Instead, try and interpret that loosely.
You can have someone spout words to you and you draw the first thing that comes to mind; or if you're more a secluded type artist, you can look about your surroundings and let your eyes fall on an object. Use the word of that item and draw what comes to mind. Or draw what comes to mind after having seen it(like.. I'm looking at a plant. Right now, I either want to draw Robert Plant or a spinach monster.).. I guess one is more word association and the other is object association.

(someone had mentioned this already) You could try to sketch out the frustrations that might be hampering your method. Draw some literal emotional baggage, or your interpretation of artist block. It doesn't have to be good, but you'll find yourself getting really into it in no time.

Other things that help boost the inventive soul: good music, stretching, catching the first sun, swimming, singing as loudly as you possibly can, dancing while singing as loudly as you possibly can, running, mad libs, crazy hard wooden puzzles, anything that will challenge the brain without ticking you off, old poetry.
You need to get your energy up and your mind stimulated.
(It's so crazy, It just might work~! :]

Emotions~! Find something so sad, or so beautiful or so infuriating that you simply MUST take to the sketchpad.

Go out of your element. Try some different drawings: cubism, graffiti, go check out an exhibit on foreign art(or, you know, google it. it's easier ^^). Something abstract and totally different than you're used to.

Lastly, don't think about your lack of inspiration. It will just add to your frustration and be debilitating to your goal.

    So, I hope I helped ^^
    Good Luck~

Larger companies will offer more opportunity for advancement but getting into personal banking now requires a college degree because so many people with degrees are available and willing to take those positions. 21. I think it’s hypocritical to accuse christians (billions of people) of being judgemental and at the same time judgeing all of them yourself. If you want to know about Christianity, look at Christ not at christians, who are fallable people just like everybody else.
