Why Train?
Simple really: training improves skills, techniques, knowledge and attitude whatever an individual’s role within an organisation. Ongoing staff training and development is crucial if you want to improve business performance and meet your targets.
Without a well-trained, skilled team your business won’t grow and prosper. But there are a number of initiatives to ensure your staff have the right knowledge and experience required.
When a company develops a learning culture, staff feel motivated to participate in it, resulting in an improvement in individual and collective performance. Morale will be raised, problems solved, efficiency improved and goals attained all because of the practical ability, confidence and motivation that effective training builds.
There is, however, a bewildering array of training events and self-taught training materials. Some of these events and materials may be inappropriate as they do not fulfil the skill and information needs of your staff. Some courses may be legally inaccurate, as they do not contain up-to date information on important relevant educational legislation of which staff need to be aware.
Ensuring that staff develop as educators, team members and individuals increases their sense of worth within your organisation, reducing staff turnover rates. Providing appropriate and ongoing training assists in maintaining the high quality of their work and output.
Psychological Training
Have you ever wondered what makes top performers excel time after time? The answer is they are not only highly competent; they are also psychologically fit.
These people have learnt to become – and stay – focused, resilient, confident and committed. This means they have that extra drive to perform in today’s highly demanding world of work. Psychological fitness, like physical fitness, can be learnt. It sits at the heart of a suite of programmes, each of which provides practical and sustainable tools to develop and enhance psychological fitness.
Together with complementary skills and knowledge, they provide the drivers for action in a wide range of contexts. In association with the Human Dimension, Phoenix are able to provide all your staff with the practical tools to perform at a higher level by enhancing their psychological fitness. Its application is extremely varied but recent workshops have been centred around Leadership, Change Management, Team Development, Tackling Absenteeism and Stress.

I’m not speaking for the company, but the training I did at Learning Rx was very helpful to me, strengthening my cognitive skills. I imagine the claim of 88% is based on the idea that most learning issues are related to cognitive skills. I’ve learned what those skills are and can only think that the 88% is a low end number. I’m pretty sure that the number is more like 95% of issues are related to cognitive skills. Can you think of many problems that would not be related to cognitive skills?
I’ve been doing a lot of online research into this company, and there’s a LOT of this kind of oddly generic comment posts. It’s EXTREMELY suspicious. This is in addition to the fact that this video is chock full of pseudoscientifcally misleading garbage. “88 PERCENT OF LEARNING DISABILITIES!” Says WHO? Cite some sources. Present some data.
I don't think they need to be taught…its already in the Quran on how to deal with people. What they need is a taste of their own medicine….lashes if they don't straigten up.
a paintball match, it really is, depending on how intense you want to be you can get more physical
As a former student of LearningRx, I can tell you that this is a good overview of what LearningRx does for their students… LearningRx You Rock!

Hell no! They do not have the training to make any psychological assessments and as far as I'm concerned his opinion shouldn't mean a thing. Some cops think their opinion is golden just because they are an officer of the law…I personally know too many of them that are more screwed up than the average person and they don't even think twice about breaking the law. I've seen them drink at bars and drive home more times than I can count but they don't think twice about giving someone else a ticket for it.
Thanks for the overview on your company. I always wondered what LearningRx was all about, now I know. Looks interesting!
Showing managers how to deal with each personality type is the most important thing. Also, showing the people in training what thier psychological strengths and weaknesses are is also important. Do a google search on the MBTI, and also check this site:

Check out the books and resources.
Your vet needs to see this again.
Also, try putting her in a crate that is just big enough for her to lay down, stand up, and turn around in. It will help her hold it because she doesn't want to soil her bed.
If you're starving your body for carbs, a once a week overload can keep your body's metabolism from going slow & keep it burning calories..
Mental skills training is designed to produce psychological states and skills in athletes that lead to performance enhancement. It focuses on the mental skills that should be developed to further propel athletic performances beyond those that can be achieved through physical and technical training.
Not everybody takes one. You only have to do it if you have some sort of medical/psychological history that they need to look into. Unless you told your recruiter about something like that then you should not have to take a psych evaluation.
I'm not sure if she has qualifications, but I used her service and it helped cure me of depression & anxiety, and thats all that matters to me, qualified or not. I would definatley go for her service if you are thinking about it – it is way more than worth it!! ox
I disagree with Bill. The field of psychology is very hard and very competitive. Depending on what kind of therapist you want to be, your education will be different. I will explain the doctoral programs (to be a psychologist), since that's what I know best.
You need to have your bachelor's degree in something related to psychology (sociology, human development, psychology, etc) to increase your odds to get into graduate school. After you earn your bachelor's, you need to apply to graduate school, which is very competitive. Some of the research programs only admit 3 students a year in the program. Some of the professional schools admit more (but usually no more than 75 for the year). The standards in graduate school are high. At my school, a C was considered failing. If you got a C, you had to repeat a class. If you got more than one, they placed you on probation. If you got more than that, you could be kicked out. The classes are difficult and diverse. The instructors expect you to attend lectures and read and do research at home. It is not uncommon to be working on 4-5 research projects at one time. For the doctoral program, you will also be required to complete at least 600 (for most programs) hours at an externship (like in-field training or an internship). However, it is to your benefit to get much more than that. It would also be helpful to get your Master's on your way to your doctorate, which usually involves a long research paper. After you have completed most of your class requirements and your externship hours, you have to take a comprehensive examination (that assesses the past 4 years of education) which determines if you are prepared for the next step. If you pass, you can apply for internships, which is highly competitive. You can't get your doctorate in clinical or counseling psychology without it and about 300-400 people each year don't get one. Those people end up waiting until next year to apply again and interview. If you are one of the successful people to get an internship, you have to complete at least 2000 hours at a low-paid job at various sites, like a hospital, university, jail, or community mental health center. You also have to write a dissertation and defend it, which is a stressful process.
If you are able to complete all those requirements, you can graduate with your doctorate.
But wait! There's more! Once you graduate, most states require you to have 1-2 years of additional, postdoctoral experience before you can apply to be licensed. These are also highly competitive and most do not pay. I was lucky to find one that pays, but had to move from a major metro area to a more rural area 1300 miles away.
To earn your license, you have to pass at least the EPPP, the national exam. I've been studying for it for months and believe me, its difficult and stressful. In my state, you also have to pass an ethics exam and an oral exam.
If you do all of the above, then you can breathe a sigh of relief and call yourself a psychologist.
practice 8 hours a day

My childhood was very happy but in hindsight some what consumed by gymnastics- Basically it was 6- 7 days a week- all year round…
If your athlete is not concentrating- (making sloppy mistakes, having avoidable injuries) perhaps you need to ask if his/her heart is not fully in the sport.
The athlete must have some time away from the gym-
reward him or her with a vacation once in a while.
The disciplines I learned were terrific and I look and feel 10 years younger than my other adult friends.
